Russia Special Counsel’s 1 Year Anniversary to be Used Against it by Trump Administration
Rudy Giuliani told the press today that President Donald Trump plans to use the anniversary to expose the ineffectiveness of the investigation. He plans to point out that Robert Mueller has spent millions of dollars and an entire year without finding anything related to Russian-Trump collusion in the 2016 election.
Supporters of the investigation will likely say that Robert Mueller needs more time to find the evidence connecting Trump and Russia, that substantial advances have been made, and that other parts of Trump’s past need to be investigated, such as the Trump reimbursed payoff of a porn star by his personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
Supporters of the president are likely claim that an investigation into the “hush payment” to the porn star or most other parts of Trump’s past are outside of the original scope of the investigation. They will likely continue saying that such inquiries are unwarranted and illegal attacks against the president’s reputation and credibility.
Donald Trump will most likely turn to Twitter to call the investigation a fruitless “witch hunt”.
